Project description

 

Our project " My river, my town” focuses around matters connected with significance of rivers for partners' towns.

     It is an interesting experience for its direct ( students, teachers) and indirect (parents, members of families, animators, local community) recipients. Thanks to realization of the project they will have possibility to contact and  exchange experiences in range of among others getting to  know natural values of  rivers by which their towns are located.
     Students under their teachers direction will  know them thanks to meetings with experts in range of faunas and the flora of river valleys, protection of waters and supplies of natural river  valleys as well as occupations in terrain. The results will be presented in form of  posters, pictures as well as multimedia presentations.
     The cultural context of meaning of rivers participants of the project will get to know thanks to lessons organized guided on this subject. Students will be also introduced the historical meaning of rivers for development of their towns.
     The ecological aspect of rivers will be underlined , students and whole school community will get to know local, national and European Union's programmes that serve for protection of rivers and supplies of river valleys. These and different others actions will permit direct and indirect recipients to realize economic, historical, cultural and natural significance of their rivers, and also necessity of their protection . Varied in form  competitions for pupils announced in every partner school will have international finale during partners' meeting. Students the most engaged in its realization will have possibility to participate in trips to partner schools.
